Weekly -> Monthly

Hey everyone! I hope you’ve found some value in the Weekly Beat summary posts I have done thus far on here. It has been fun and enlightening for me to gather the content for them, and I have already learned so much more than I knew previously about the Pittsburgh tech scene through this curation.

That being said, I have decided to reduce the frequency of these summary posts to monthly rather than weekly. The reason for this is threefold. Firstly, next week begins my final term of graduate school, which will take up a lot of the time that I use to write here. For this last term, I have doubled my course load so as to graduate earlier than I would have otherwise. Secondly, there is simply not enough content coming out of the local scene on a weekly basis to merit this level of frequency. Finally, I want to spend more time regularly writing more detailed posts on specific local tech topics, as well as recording interviews for the podcast.

I am hopeful that this new posting cadence and additional content will be even better than the weekly posts I was doing before, but, as always, open to your thoughts in the comments! The first Monthly Beat will be posted this Saturday, July 1st.
